Nyoda is a part of our past, present, and future. At the 100th Reunion, we renewed longstanding bonds with friends we knew at camp and formed new friendships. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could do that more often? We can. We don’t need to return to camp to recreate the camp spirit. Nyoda Alumnae Networks are developing all over the country.
Many Nyoda alumnae get together each year at “mini-reunions” and share their past, present, and future. One group was the key factor in creating the 100th Anniversary Reunion. Another group celebrates the opening weekend of camp every year in New York City with a Saturday dinner or Sunday Brunch. One year, they even dressed up in blue and white!
Mini-reunions can be in a restaurant, someone’s home, a park or anywhere. They can be on the opening day of camp, during Christmas in July, or any date convenient for the group. They don’t even have to be geographic. The group can be your Tiamalia year. Would you like to connect with alumnae? If you would like to help organize a mini-reunion of alumnae in your area, contact Joan Bunting Lennon. She will help you find alumnae and set up a gathering.
